Putting a Directory (Folder) of Files up on the Web
When the last entry is a URL is a directory (as opposed to a file), then your browser will either display:
  • The file index.html
  • A listing of the files in the directory, followed by the contents of a README file, if it exists.

The browser expands compressed files when you click on them.
